New Struggle, New Development!
On June 23th, the headquarter of Shandong Hengyuan Petrochemical Company was moved to the new location formally. Wang Youde, the Director and General Manager of the company, senior and middle-level leaders as well as some staff representatives united together to witness the paramount moment. This marks the new chapter that the company will open as well as the determination and confidence that the company hold resolutely from the past to the future.
The new office building was equipped with meeting rooms, tea rooms, reception rooms, equipment rooms and other functional rooms. The new office building represented a better image of the headquarter and it also provided a more desirable environment for employees to work.
“The new office building is put into use today, which marks a crucial milestone and a new starting line in Shandong Hengyuan Petrochemical Group Company’s pursue of development. It also represents the critical step in the company’s transformation and upgradation.” said Wang Youde, “ And the project construction is only a beginning. Our company will face new challenges and in its growth. If we try to handle with these challenges in traditional way and minds, the company is doomed to fail. As in cruel market competition, no industry can keep away from challenges. In this circumstance, our company has both advantages and disadvantages. So in order to overcome these challenges, we need to do as follows:
First, we should invest more in research and development so as to energize market and provide better products. Through stretching to the downstream of the carbon material chain, we will try best to improve our competitiveness.
Second, we should focus on fine management. In the comprehensive development course of the company, we need to formulate effective restrictive policies and assessment methods. Not only the management personnel but also other staff should observe the regulations. Besides, the number and responsibility of everyone’s job should be clear. Any position that can be merged into one should merge only if it suits the development of the company.
Third, After the transformation, Hengyuan is no longer a traditional
refining factory and it will provide new products and face new market. The knoledge structure, age composition and market experience are a new thing to every staff. So, Hengyuan will change their thinking model and focus on training. The HR department should make targeted and comprehensive training plan based on the reality of the company as well as sort out the problems the company faces in its development course in accordance with the needs of corporate growth. The department should also carry out special training through “sending employees out to get knowledge” and “inviting tutors to give our employees guidance”. The goal of the training is to achieve a good and expected effect. As to those who have a poor knowledge and learning, they will be eliminated.
After years of development, Hengyuan has established the current management team. All of you present are the mainstay and core strength in Hengyuan’s development. As to some middle managers who enjoy high salaries, we should also consider how much they contribute to Hengyuan’s development. It is necessary to calculate the efforts every staff pays as well as to ponder the cruel market competition. In order to coordinate the two factors, the upgrading and allocation of management is indispensable.

Learning from DeBao Road’s management experience, the company must lead in management innovation so as to provide us some practical experience. In principle, the company should keep stable growth in the first phase and carry out the second phase through the accumulation in the first phase so as to amass more strength for the company’s future. Meanwhile, Hengyuan, Ruilai, and DeBao Road should establish sound management team, so as to be familiar with the market environment in and outside of China. The three companies should improve the management structure based on the reality and keep an eye on the market while deliver a good performance in management, so as to make clear the position of our companies in the whole industry chains. Facing challenges, we need to have a sense of crisis and keep alert to motive us keep going as only firms with this spirit can behave good in fierce competition.
when there is a conflict between personal interests and corporate interests in fierce competition, everyone in management team should rank corporate interests first while deliver their due responsibility in decision-making, management and operation.
This moving not only witness the rapid growth of the headquarter of Shandong Hengyuan Petrochemical Group Co.,Ltd but also indicated the bright future for the company. We must keep vigilant in peace time and think over how to survive and develop as this is both the responsibility of every staff in Hengyuan and a traditional concept of China. Hengyuan will put priority on science and technology research and development and fine management to strengthen training, improve decision-making capability and continue to boost the value of personnel and material. We will make up our mind to improve cost management and personnel allocation so as to lay a good fundation for Hengyuan’s new beginning, insist on and practice the philosophy of “Green Development”, give full play to our own industry advantages and strive to extend carbon material industry chain. With a new attitude and higher requirements, as long as all of us throughout the company are working as one to the best of our abilities, insist on innovation and keep brave, we will undoubtedly push Hengyuan to a new development phase and break new horizon.
